I'm an adventure and landscape photographer.
I was born in Colorado, but I've lived a lot of different places -- New York, Afghanistan, California, Virginia. I currently spend most of my time in Arizona. With a degree in architectural engineering, I worked an office job for a few years before pursuing my photography passion full time.
I've traveled and shot in more than 30 countries. I'm available to commission for brand, editorial and select personal projects.
Where are you from?
I am a native of Colorado, but I haven't stayed in the same city for longer than about a year. In the past 10 years I have lived in Blacksburg - Virginia, Arvada - Colorado, Boulder - Colorado, New York City - New York, Bagram - Afghanistan, Vail - Colorado (yes, I was a snowboard bum), San Francisco - California and most recently, Phoenix - Arizona.
How did you get started in photography?
I started shooting stock photography in high school to fund weekend trips and buy my first lenses and cameras. I've never looked back – I've brought a DSLR with me on every trip I've ever taken since 2006. After shooting tens of thousands of frames and learning a few tricks along the way, I'd like to think I have developed my own personal photographic style.
Where is your favorite place you have traveled?
This is a question I get asked frequently and one of the most difficult to answer. It really is hard to get a good feel for a location unless you are there for weeks, sometimes even months. Here's my best attempt at some answers:
What gear do you use?
