I finally picked out two shots that I love from my middle of the night hike to Delicate Arch. John and I woke up about 1:30 AM. After (slowly) exiting our tents and driving, we made it to the trailhead at about 2:15 AM and began our hike. After hiking 80% of the way to the arch, we came across a wide open expanse and couldn't find any route markers or clues on which way to go. We wandered back and forth, not wanting to get (more) lost, for what must have amounted to 45 minutes. Finally, we found the correct route and made it to Delicate Arch. After the couple mile hike (and getting lost), I only had a short amount of time to shoot before the sun started to rise and create what is called "blue hour." I think the blue hour gave a unique and cool twist on the shot. Enjoy!
